We have a new pet.

When Yerty came home from class tonight at about 1:30 a.m. a new pet accidently got in. We tried to get it out but it was too fast and got away. Guess what it was....a palmetto bug a.k.a. roach. So, for about five minutes we were in a frenzy of throwing shit around, pulling pictures off the wall, moving everything on the floor, lifting furniture looking for it. Oh course we did not find it...they fly you know. It got away. While we were looking we found a dead one under the couch. It was gross. I had to pick it up for a sec and it was crunchy. So we determined we have a roach emergency. If it lays eggs we will be infested.

About two a.m. I went to Wallgreens to get some roach traps and poison. The Walgreens lady was really nice. She asked, "Did someone scare you tonight?" So I told her I was from Michigan and we don't see them there. She sort of laughed then told the guy behind me that I was from Michigan and not used to roaches. He laughed and said, "They are pets around here." Eeew...I don't want roaches for pets. So, I'm sure they were laughing at me after I left but I don't care. I just hope the traps and poison work before the roach lays eggs. I think tomorrow I will call the pest control people and see what they say I should do. Maybe they will not be open tomorrow. Crap what a bad weekend to get a roach.

I guess I got what I asked for in terms of a more interesting blog. I wish I had never thought any of that. :)
